Can you keep a secret?

I can…at least for a little while longer.  The Smutathon continues, so take yourself over, read some delicious, sweet secret filth and vote!  I can’t tell you which one is mine yet, but don’t worry, at the end we’ll all spill our secrets!

Ok…not all of them…but we’ll at least tell you who wrote what!

P.S. Yes…I know I’ve been quiet…I’m hunting rabbits you know!  oh..alright, I’m not, you got me.  Bear with me though, okay?

Might be away for a bit….

Life has taken a bit of a spin for me.  I’m not sure what exactly the future holds, but it’s definitely holding something new.  So.  Writing, blogging, and tweeting, for that matter, I do believe will be on sabbatical for a bit.  Bear with me, okay?

Guess what!

I’m guest blogging on Oh Get A Grip today!  So get on over there, okay?

Long in the birthing…

The first post of my latest serial went up on Saturday, and I have to say, this one was a long time in coming.  The initial inspiration for this one came from working on one of Alison Tyler‘s 250 word challenges, one that involved tattoos.  Well, as soon as I wrote the piece I knew there was more there, but I was already hip deep in the Voyeur series.

So, now I get to work on this one, and I must say it’s proving harder than I expected.  The original piece was written in the first person from a male perspective.  Well, I certainly won’t pretend to have much knowledge of that POV, so I switched it to third person.  But I do adore tattoos, and am looking forward to writing this piece around the process of getting tattooed.

I generally fly by the seat of my pants when I write…I usually only know a fraction of the story that I’m writing, learning more as I write.  Well, with this serial I had to think a little more, as as I thought,  I made the decision that I would alternate POVS.  The next piece will be from my other MC’s point of view, and in the first person.  I think by doing this I can explore both sides of the story but in a way that is distinctly different and hopefully interesting!

Writing the serials is very enjoyable for me.  I like the feedback loop created and the anticipation that draws readers back week in and week out.  The promise I make to post weekly keeps me honest and doesn’t let me squirm out of writing when I hit snags in the story.

I like to think it works out for both writer and reader.  What do you think?

What Lies Beneath

What Lies Beneath

I wrote a piece inspired by a dream…a nightmare, actually.  It’s hard to say where one began and the other ended, but in the end I wrote something with a scene that flat out sickened me.

I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not.  It’s powerful, evocative, and delves into a world I’ve little experience in.  But, on the other hand, I think I tackled it well.  I don’t know.  It hits on a big taboo in the erotica world as well, one that would prevent it from ever being published.  But that’s okay.  I think.  I don’t know.  I seem to be saying that alot in regards to this story.

I’m sharing it with Mr. Greyson this evening.  The subsequent discussion promises to dig into where my muse gets the fucked up ideas poured into this piece and explaining to him that my characters are NOT me.  Especially those in this one.   I haven’t yet decided whether this mindfuck of a piece will be posted to my collection here or not.

So.  That’s that.  Just me rambling about nothing again.  I seem to be writing edgy things lately.  Things that push against my comfort zones in pokey and intrusive ways.  I’m curious to find out where this process is leading.

Oh..and I’m seriously considering participating in NaNoWriMo this year, is anyone else?  I don’t know if what I write will be erotic or not…in fact, I’ve no clue yet what I might work on.  But, there’s two months to ponder it, so we’ll see.  I used to write Sci Fi/Fantasy stuff alot, so I might go that route.  I mean, what better way to hit a word count than that? 😉

Holding Pattern…

Time is not on my side of late,  and I apologize for the lack of posts, and material.  There are simply not enough hours in the day.

But, I’m working on some projects, one that is specifically  for the blog that I’m quite excited about, and am hoping to post early next week, in addition to a Beginner’s Ball session(that I’ve yet to write,  but is percolating in the back of my mind).

Coming soon:   Voyeur: a flash series.  Voyeur loves to watch.  That’s her kink.  Men, women, she loves them both.  Follow her as she seeks thrill after thrill, keeping lust and love at a distance, only watching, yearning.

Stay tuned.  It’s going to be good.
